Operating Basis
For a flat, up-front retainer (initial consultation fee) we do the critical review of any document or draft document, or a sketchy plan that could become a document. On deals where your Client is the source of the deal and needs a biz plan for showing to a few of his buddies, ... we do an initial Concept Validation Report (due diligence), with emphasis on market study, feasibility questions, and a proposal for standard Business Plan writing.
On incoming deals, where your client wants to invest ... we do the same initial consult and produce a report with recommendations for client further
deal analysis, including structural issues. We then provide a consulting proposal to actually do the due diligence (in concert with outside experts). We never say yea or nay ... you get to say that (if you want), and of course, the Client gets to decide. We just report what we found out, if anything, that
merits further study ... or, is a flat out deal killer.
Thus, this represents two aspects of the same analysis. We take deals apart ... We write deals ... We know deals ... Deals are Us. While we don't
actually do deals ourselves, we facilitate transactions by documentation, encouragement, professional experience & wisdom delivered with considerable enthusiasm and sensitivity.
